SedulousWeb ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website sedulousweb.in. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our platform, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

2.1 Information you provide
- Account registration: If you sign in via Google OAuth or phone OTP, we collect your name and email address (Google) or phone number (OTP).
- Contact forms: If you contact us by email, we retain your email address and message content for correspondence purposes only.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: We may record page view counts in aggregate. We do not link these counts to individual user identities unless you are signed in as an admin.
- Log data: Standard web server logs may include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. Logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
- Cookies: We use a small number of cookies as described in Section 4.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the SedulousWeb content platform.
- To authenticate admin and editor accounts.
- To respond to your support or editorial enquiries.
- To display advertising. We work with third-party advertising networks (including Google AdSense) that set their own cookies and collect data about your browsing behaviour to show relevant ads. See Section 5.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Advertising
SedulousWeb displays advertisements to support free content. We work with third-party advertising networks which may include:
- Google AdSense / Google Ad Manager: Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out via Google's Ad Settings.
Advertising networks may collect information about your visits to this and other websites to provide targeted advertisements. We do not control how these networks use your data; please review their respective privacy policies.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — database hosting for posts and admin sessions. Data is stored in the EU (Ireland) region. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection. May log request metadata. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in method for admin accounts. Subject to Google Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — application hosting. May log request metadata. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
7. Data Retention
- Post content and view counts: retained indefinitely as part of the content archive.
- Admin account data: retained until account deletion is requested.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
- OTP codes: deleted automatically after 10 minutes.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:
- Right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Right to withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.

9. Children's Privacy
SedulousWeb is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of SedulousWeb after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
